On Monday the 21st November, nine children from Hallsville took part in the Cumberland SSP/ YST Inclusion Newham Panathlon Sports Event held at Newham Leisure Centre. These children took part in 10 events such as; Boccia, Archery, Parachute games and Volleybat just to name a few. They performed exceptionally well that they were the runners up and they also received a Panathlon medal.
Year 5 and 6 pupils from Hallsville competed in a Quad Kids competition on 14th June, Hallsville finished 5th out of 6 schools.
Hallsville competed in the KS1 Mini Olympics held at Eastlea Community School. The children took part in a range of activities testing their agility, balance, coordination and speed. They were the overall winners of the event. They were awarded certificates, gold medals and a trophy. Excellent job!
Great School Run
Well done to all of the Key Stage 2 children who participated in the annual Great School Run on 22nd October 2015. It was fantastic to see such strong determination and team spirit from every child. A special well done to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed children in each class. Here are some photos of the event and the winners.
Currently, a group of Year 5 and 6 boys are participating in the 2015 Newham Primary Cricket League and have already played a few games against other schools. Here are some photographs of them in action!
Quadkids Athletics Competition
On the 4th June 2015, two teams of children from Hallsville took part in the Quadkids Athletics Competition at the Terence McMillan Stadium at Newham Leisure Centre. It was an action-packed day where every child had to compete in four events: vortex throw, standing long jump, 60m sprint and 600m run. After a fierce competition full of talented athletes, Hallsville achieved 3rd place and were put through to the finals. It was a very enjoyable day.
On the first week of April 2015, Years 3-6 participated in the annual competitive football tournament with the children in their year group. The results of the competitions were very close with lots of talent being demonstrated across the Key Stage! It was a very enjoyable day and it was wonderful to see so much encouragement and sportsmanship from the children.
Sixteen pupils from Year 1 and 2 competed in a Mini Olympics competition held at Cumberland School. The children took part in a range of activities testing their agility, balance, coordination and speed. All the children worked incredibly hard and enjoyed the event immensely. The children were highly commended for their team work and sportsmanship.
